What will life look like in a world
where nothing ever truly disappears?

Co2_karbondioksida is an artist duo based in Malaysia, formed by Lee Oscar and Celine. Working at the intersection of sculpture, ecology, and speculative biology, the duo explores how life might evolve in a future shaped by unvanishable waste.

Known for transforming discarded materials into imaginative biological forms, Co2 reinterprets everyday debris such as plastics, packaging, paper pulp, and forgotten objects through processes that merge craft,  ecological research, and narrative world-building. Their sculptural works draw from scientific observation and myth-making, imagining new species that adapt, mutate, and survive within human-altered ecosystems.

Together, they construct an evolving universe where decay becomes imagination, trash becomes anatomy, and new life emerges from the remnants of human consumption.

Through installations, public commissions, and experimental series, co2 develops a distinctive visual language that asks:

What will life look like in a world where nothing ever truly disappears?
